What is an iPIX™ 360° Immersive Image?

An iPIX™ 360° Immersive Image (View Manor , Foxhole Pines) takes two or three scenes 

with a fisheye lens and stitches them together giving you an image which places you in the 

middle of the scene.  You can look anywhere within the scene, left, right, up or down.  You 

can even zoom  in on areas within the scene.  

This new technology converts flat images into seamlessly stitched 360° x 360° virtual tours 

and is an excellent way to showcase any property.  Scenes from different locations of the 

property are put together to provide an overview of the prospective property to potential buyers.

How large are the files and how long does it take to upload?

iPIX™ file sizes can be customized to fit your the needs of your particular virtual tour.  Original,

uncompressed files are about 20 MB.  At this size, the only real application is with CD or DVD

distribution.  File size can be reduced to 40-60 kb which creates very quick upload times at the

expense of clarity and resolution.  The following table has preset resolutions to give you an idea

of the quality vs. speed tradeoff.  Medium resolution appears to be a good compromise.  Of course,

tours can be created in low and high resolution combo packages to give all internet users a 

memorable experience.
